ASIAN COLLEGE OF JOURNALISM (ACJ)

The ACJ invites applications for admission to its 2009-2010 Postgraduate Diploma programme in Journalism. The ACJ is the premier institution of journalism education in South Asia offering specialization in Print, New Media, Television and Radio. The ACJ follows the advanced teaching methods of the best journalism education programmes in the world. The ACJ curriculum, spread over three trimesters, combines the ‘how to’ aspect of journalism with a critical and reflective ‘why’ perspective, and is designed to help students acquire the knowledge, skills and discernment for ready employment in the profession. The ACJ Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism will be awarded to all candidates who successfully complete the requirements of the course.The ACJ diplomates have proved to be in high demand in the media across India and South Asia.

A demand draft for Rs. 1000/- favouring ‘Media Development Foundation’ payable at Chennai must accompany your application. The last date for receipt of completed applications is May 7, 2009.

GRADUATES in any discipline and students awaiting their degree examination results are eligible to apply.

SELECTION is based on an entrance examination conducted at various centres in India and abroad in late May 2009 and a personal interview at the college in Chennai in mid June 2009.

THE ACADEMIC YEAR begins on July 14, 2009.

THE CLASS OF 2009-2010 will initiate ACJ’s new residential campus at Taramani, Chennai.
