The tuition fee for the ACJ postgraduate diploma programme, is INR 4,60,200/- inclusive of GST @ 18%. Candidates admitted to the programme should lock in their seats within 7 days with an advance payment of INR. 1,00,000/- The balance amount of INR 3,60,200/- is to be paid in two equal installments, according to the following schedule:
- First installment of INR 1,80,100/- on or before June 16, 2021
- Final installment of INR 1,80,100/- on or before June 23, 2021
Accommodation for students in the programme on room sharing basis is available on the college campus or in the Residential Annexe which is within easy distance of the college in Kasturba Nagar adjacent to the MRTS station. The allotment of residence to students opting for it will be decided by the college.
Residential accommodation on the Campus for the period (July 2021 to April 2022) will cost INR 88,500/- inclusive of GST @ 18%.
Accommodation at the Annexe for the period (July 2021 to April 2022) will cost INR 1,29,800/- inclusive of GST @ 18%.
The cost of food for the year will be INR 88,500/- inclusive of GST @ 18%.
Every student has to pay a caution deposit of INR 10,000/-, which will be returned, less deductions for liabilities if any, at the end of the year.
Students who opt for accommodation should send an advance of INR 50,000/- with their first installment of tuition fees. Accommodation will be offered on a first-come- first-served basis. The balance, inclusive of caution, deposit should be paid on or before June 23, 2021.
Please note that no request for refund of fees will be entertained. Once a candidate is admitted the seat allotted to him or her stands filled. Please note that fees once paid will not be refunded even if the candidate does not join the course.
The ACJ offers scholarships on a merit-cum-means basis to students seeking and qualifying for them. It must be indicated clearly in the application if the student requires a scholarship. The full and partial scholarships cover tuition fees and, in special cases, living expenses. Please submit proof of family income as stated in the application form.
Candidates applying for SC/ST scholarships should produce community certificate and proof of annual family income as stated in the application form.
The South Asia Foundation (SAF) offers scholarships for study at the ACJ to students from the eight SAARC countries: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The ‘Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship’ (JLN Scholarships) is instituted at the Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) by The Associated Journals Limited (AJL).
The scholarship covers the tuition fees for selected students pursuing their Postgraduate Diploma programme. The selection will be on a merit-cum-means basis.
Asian College of Journalism has partnered with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ltd (KAS) for the Adenauer Fellowship for Media and Communications in Asia to support aspiring journalists at the beginning of their careers as news reporters.
The fellowship will support students who seek scholarship on a merit-cum-means basis, and are eligible for it, by covering the tuition fees for the Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and providing a one-time Fellowship Allowance of 700EUR.
