The Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Trust presented the “Malcolm Adiseshiah Award for Distinguished Contributions to Development Studies” to Prof S. Mahadev, Director and Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi Institute for Development Research, Mumbai on 21, November, 2016 at the Asian College of Journalism, Taramani, Chennai. Prof. U. Shankar ( Chairman, Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Trust) presented the award and delivered the Chairman’s Address. Prof. Mahadev presented the Malcolm Adiseshiah Memorial Lecture “The Problem of Inequality” . Prof. R.Srinivasan ,Trustee of the Trust introduced the Awardee. Mr. Sashi Kumar (Chairman, Asian College of Journalism) welcomed the gathering. Prof. Geetha Sridharan , Trustee, proposed a Vote of Thanks.
